We are a female owned, small batch coffee roaster in the rural town of Maupin, Oregon.
We typically roast dark, smooth as it gets beans, but also offer medium and light roast as it’s always custom created for you. Our beans are organic, fair-trade, air roasted in small batches to ensure a deep, intense perfect level of richness and complexity.
Our blends are named after various rapids and campgrounds along the Deschutes River!
What’s the deal with air roasting?
Most roasters don’t do air roasting because you can’t do big batches like you can in a drum roaster. The sweet thing about air roasting in small-batches is the level of control we have with our beans. We are small enough that you can ask for an 8/10 roast, and once we have your profile set, then that’s exactly what you’ll get, every single time.
We get a smooth, dark roast that is delicious in every cup.

I love these beans!! Always a fresh roast and delivered in a timely fashion (their arrival always exceeds my expectations). When I grind and brew (press), my coffee cup is filled with depth, consistent flavor and a stunning aroma. Suze roasts to perfection and her beans make the best cup of coffee. I make americanos and lattes with this bean. Occasionally a pour over.
I love Maupin Coffee!! It’s bold and flavorful as coffee should be. This coffee travels with us all over the world. Moreover the customer service Suze and her staff provide is impeccable. I highly recommend the subscription element and the ability to determine one’s own delivery frequency. It’s also a cost savings which is helpful.
